Target Group
The programme is offered to S5 learners and mature applicants (in and out of service) who are not meeting the entry requirements to enrol on a diploma programme but however, show a great interest to pursue a career in health.
Required Courses
The programme comprises courses which are divided into four areas:

Work-Shadow Experience
This area will provide learners with first-hand experience of health care in Seychelles. This essentially entails observation and reflection of the practical component of health care. Learners will have opportunities to interact with professionals in health care as well as undertake site visits relevant to the area concerned.
Completion of Programme and Progression
Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will be issued with a transcript
Learners can further enrol on a diploma programme of their choice which is on offer.
Selection of Professional Pathway
Learners who have completed the programme and who meet the criteria for progression will be required to complete a form stating their preferred professional pathway in one of the following programmes on offer at the particular time:
-Diploma in Nursing
-Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences
– Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences
– Diploma in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences
– Diploma in Dental Hygiene
– Diploma in Physiotherapy
– Diploma in Occupational Therapy
– Diploma in Emergency Medical Care
– Diploma in Nutrition
Minimum Entry Requirements
NIHSS diploma in a health-related field as first or second choice
and
IGCSE in English at Grade E
and
40% or above in National Examination; Mathematics, Biology, AND Chemistry.
Consideration may be given to applicants with only Biology OR only Chemistry national examination for results of 65% and above.
