Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences

The 3 year diploma programme is proposed on a unit basis. The programme operates within the framework of two semesters per year, with each semester comprising of 21 weeks in all.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

S5 and Mature Applicants:

  • International Examinations: Grade C or better in IGCSE or equivalent in English (2nd Language), Biology and Chemistry. AND
  • National Examinations: 60% or better in Mathematics.

Mature Applicants:

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in a health-related field.

Work-Based Experience (WBE)

Learners will undergo work attachment at the Central Pharmacy, Ward Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Production Unit (PPU) at the Seychelles Hospital, Drug Testing Laboratory at English River, the Pharmacies at the district health centers and private pharmacies such as D’Offay, Central Point and Behrams. Learners will be required to complete a total of 40 weeks spread over 3 years.
