Diploma in Emergency Medical Care

The 3 year diploma programme is proposed on a unit basis. The programme operates within the framework of two semesters per year, with each semester comprising of 21 weeks in all.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

S5 and Mature Applicants:

  • International Examinations: Grade C or better in IGCSE or equivalent in English (2nd Language), Biology and Chemistry. AND
  • National Examinations: 60% or better in Mathematics.

Mature Applicants:

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in a health-related field.

Work-Based Experience (WBE)

Learners will undergo work attachment at the Seychelles Hospital (i.e. Accident & Emergency, Command Centre, Anesthesia Department) and Anse Royale Hospital (i.e. Accident & Emergency) and will be required to complete a total of 52 weeks spread over 3 years.
